All Your Holiday Shopping, All In One Place!

by Nathalie Rees

Well folks, 2020 Holiday shopping is upon us and while things definitely feel much different this year, some things always stay the same. We still want to get the most thoughtful gifts for our friends and family, finish all our shopping early (haha!) and wouldn’t it be a bonus to do it all as a one-stop-shop? Whether you’re arranging curbside pickup or doing socially distanced in-store shopping, Park Royal has everything for the holidays all in one place.

And to make your life just a little easier (because hey, we all deserve that this year), here’s a list of some great gifts I found to help you know exactly where to go and what to get – efficiency is the key to holiday shopping success!

FOR ALL THINGS SPARKLY: It’s been a hard and crazy year, so if you’re wanting to show that special someone a little extra love this year, you can’t go wrong with a little bling. Plus, Lugaro, Pandora and Michael Hill are all located on Park Royal’s South Side, so once you have your mask on, you can quickly hit up each store to check out which items would make the best gifts!

Stackable Rings – I love the idea of giving fine jewelry in a way that is totally customizable. With an amazing price point and the ability to mix and match so many different styles, these rings make a very special gift, as well as the ability to continue adding to the collection. From $150 at Lugaro.

Chunky Bracelets – Chunky is in and the Link Me Bracelet from Pandora is super fun all on its own or with some added charms or accessories. From $100 at Pandora.

Initial Necklaces – A fun way to give something meaningful, plus the longer chain and dainty letter on the Michael Hill necklace makes for easy layering with other jewelry. From $49 at Michael Hill.

AT HOME INVESTMENT PRESENTS: Home is where the heart is and well, it’s also where we have all been spending a lot of time. Why not give the gift of making home just a wee bit better?

The Peloton Plus Bike – Take it from someone who has one, this is one amazing gift for anyone looking to get the best work out at home. Peloton has a brand-new store at Park Royal where you can test out the machines, make an order and buy all your gear. Starting at $2,495 from Peloton.

Air Pods – Available at the newly opened, all things Apple, Jump+ store, these are the gift of the best wireless sound for work outs, podcasts, playlists and yes, zoom meetings! From $269 at Jump+

Kori Artisan Chef Knife – With a lot more cooking at home, why not upgrade to the best of the best. This knife is the only one you’ll need in your kitchen.
From $149.77 at House of Knives.

Nespresso Machine – Making more coffee at home these days? Me too. Invest in one machine and get that café quality latte or americano right from your kitchen. What better present is there? Starting at $99 from Nespresso.

At home holiday hack (pretty storage!): You know the types of presents you give to your kids that have a million little pieces (Lego, Polly Pocket, Shopkins, etc.) and you think, great, where am I going to store all of this once it’s open? Well, here’s the best trick ever! Just head to the newly open Room In Order store in The Village at Park Royal and pick up a few of their super cute storage baskets. Not only do they make a really great gift box once you add a festive bow or ribbon, but as soon as that gift is opened, it turns into its forever storage box! From $24.99 at Room In Order.

Cozy and Comfy: Not only are sweats all the rage in street style, they are also what everyone is pretty much living their everyday in. That being said, not all sweats are made equal, so why not give the gift of ultimate comfort? Shopping Tip: Call ahead and ask these retailers to put aside the product you are looking for, so you can be in and out of each store quickly!

Crushed Velvet – Loving lululemon’s newest fabric. Definitely a blast from the past, but oh so perfect for anyone wanting to up their gear game. $148 at Lululemon

Dressed Up – This Icone collection neoprene sweater is the perfect gift for anyone looking to dress up the casual look and it’s available in classic black and white.
$69 at Simons.

Sweat Pants – How lucky are we that sweatpants have become the new jean! These wide leg ones from Aritzia are so soft and luxe, perfect for lounging or a nice winter walk! $60 at Aritzia.

For the Guys – This sweater is the perfect mix between sweater and jacket. All guys will love the soft lining and the more refined cut. $128 at Roots.

Sorel Boots: These are in a category all their own because quite honestly, they are the best and with the weather looking the way it is, there is no way that a pair of these won’t be extremely valued all winter long. Bonus, you can get them for the whole family!
$100 – $200 from Browns Shoes, Soft Moc, Simons & Sport Chek

BEAUTY BEST BUYS:  The gift of some TLC will not go un-noticed after this crazy year around the sun and these beauty items will have everyone smiling! Added bonus, both Skoah and Sephora are outside, so you can enjoy some nice fresh air before heading in to shop.

Jade Roller Set: This year, Skoah has come out with the cutest little Jade roller set. It’s the perfect stocking stuffer or gift for a BFF or co-worker. $55 at Skoah.

High-End Highlighter: Who’s going to say no to a little highlighted cheekbone? Bobbi Brown highlighting powder will be a total win for anyone opening this up under the tree. $63 at Sephora.

Instagram Deep Wave Crimper: Admit it, we’ve all seen this item in our feeds and have secretly wanted to try it. Reviews say this one is the best! $165 at Sephora.

FOR THE SPORTS FAN: Insider info here! In early December, a brand new sportswear memorabilia store called Rep Your Colours is opening up! A great new spot to get the sports team fan in your life that vintage jersey they’ve always wanted! Rep Your Colours, located in Park Royal South next door to LIDS!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST…We can’t forget about the littles or traditional items like holiday cards, wrapping paper and stocking stuffers (for adults)!

Indigo: My favorite place to shop for the kids. Not only can you get toys they love (hi, LOL Surprise dolls), but you can also get wonderful books, puzzles and family board games. Check out Indigo.

Zing Paperie: Hands down the best place for the perfect selection of curated cards, wrapping paper and gift bags. Plus, if you’re still looking for a few extra items, they have some great gifts in there as well. Check out Zing.

BCL Signature Store: We all deserve a little treat in our stockings this year 😉 Check out BC Liquor Store.

Good luck, enjoy shopping and most of all, happy holidays!
