Three must-have Spring wardrobe looks
-by Park Royal
Trend Alert #1 – Go with the flow!
This season, get back to basics with quality, breathable fabrics like Organic Cotton. We are loving H&M’s vision for a sustainable future and they bring the goods with their latest collection. We found floral printed sets and flowy dresses in a palette of earth tones, blush pinks and shades of white, all of which are totally on trend.
It’s all about soft tones when choosing colours. Other natural fibers like silk & linen are also worth investing in – these breathable yet oh so fashionable looks from Hill’s Dry Goods feature soft pastels and neutral shades and are so right for Spring.
Trend Alert #2 – Patterns Upon Patterns
Add some more flavour to your standard “florals for spring” and this year be sure to do it in a dress!
From animal print to Hawaiian, we found some inspiring patterns at Simons and Hill’s Dry Goods. If you’re feeling romantic, there’s plenty of soft colours and lightweight materials that will help express your mood. Bolder is better this season. A few good rules include choosing a larger print for a flattering look and when pattern mixing (if you feel so inclined!) have at least 1 or 2 connecting colours between the 2 patterns. But just like in life, don’t be afraid to break any rules that don’t serve you!
Trend Alert #3 – Glow Baby!
Florals, Neutrals & Pastels are lovely, but if you are looking for an edge, why not add some pop with neon colours?! Zara is showing off this Spring trend in a fresh new way. Neon doesn’t have to be blinding; the modern take is vibrant and energizing. Not ready to go head to toe? Start with a shoe, clutch or hair scrunchie. Go on, stand out!
